Jessica Chambers, a 19-year-old Panola County resident, was murdered on December 6. She was found burning next to her car, which was also on fire.

“Everybody knows me out here,” said Ali Alsanai, son of the owner of the gas station where Chambers was seen pumping gas hours before she died. “Everybody likes me, I get along with everyone so they probably take it the other way, the wrong way, you know, ‘He’s a gang, he a drug dealer.’ They just posted a video on YouTube about me. I’m scar face Ali Alsanai.”

Alsanai has even gotten death threats from people seeking justice in the murder.

In a recorded statement, Alsanai asked a stranger “You’re accusing me of killing that girl?” to which the stranger responded “A lot of people say you did.” The stranger then threatened to get even. When Alsanai asked “So you’re saying that someone is going to come and pour gas down my throat,” the stranger replied, “Somebody is going to have to pay for what they did to that girl.”

Alsanai says the threats are written as well. In a Facebook post, someone wrote, “I hope somebody burns you and your store down.”

Many of the accusations are coming from a blog calling itself conservative. Alsanai says that a lot of the posts on this site and other social media sites are lies, connecting him to a gang and the murder of Jessica Chambers.

One of the accusations from other people posting is that gang members hang out at the Alsanai family store, M&M, and drugs are sold there.

People who frequent the store and live in the area say they have never seen any of that kind of behavior at the store.

“Ain’t no gangs here,” said Alsanai. “I don’t know where the gang thing came from. It’s just people hang here. But no gang, no drugs, no nothing going on. They need to stop all this stuff ’cause there’s no gangs and drugs around here.”

The 19-year-old Alsanai works in the store with his family members. He said mostly older people hang around, and if anyone loiters they are told to go away.

Someone even accused Alsanai of being a gang leader.

“Saying I’m a leader in a gang Black Squad, that I’m selling drugs at the store,” commented Alsanai. “They’re ruining our business. Ever since they started talking, we’ve been slow.”

When asked whether he was a member of a gang, Alsanai responded, “Nope, I am not. I’ve never had a problem with no polices.”

Alsanai said he can’t believe what people are saying and denies the allegations.

“I’ve been here all my life at the store just making a living,” Alsanai added. When asked whether he had anything to do with Jessica, he merely said “No.” When asked if he knew her, he added, “I knew her as a customer, that’s it.”

The gas station’s owner says he’s turned over surveillance video from his gas station to investigators showing Jessica Chambers hours before she was burned alive.

This evidence could help find Justice for Jessica.
