As I am searching for updates on the Jessica Chambers case this site pops up so I open it to read the information. I understand there is free speech and yatta yatta yatta but the hate and threats to kill people that spew from this site I am not sure how the site isn’t taken down. How do sites and people like this exist. It is truly scary. I am speechless, jaw dropped, just insane.

This should be illegal and I am sure there are probably plenty more of these sites out there to.
So dang sad.
Sadly we have to except that some people are at the very extreme of the societies spectrum,
All societies have these people and they thrive on negativity and fear-mongering ,spouting half-truths and generalisations about the target group(s) they oppose. They use and twist information to suit their cause: but forget that there are two sides to every coin, more than one way to see both positive and negative situations.
The website in your link is for instance focused on white people who were murdered by non-white people but doesn’t put it into perspective by giving us unbiased statistical information such as: number of white people murdered by white people, black people murdered by black people, groups of mixed white and black killers or victims etc.
They then present their own “statistics” as “Facts” without letting on how skewed they are (that wouldn’t suit them at all of course) and play on this to make their case.
Education, travel, exposure to cultures other than your own, all help widen peoples horizons and combat racism, and we can only hope that one day the day will come when racism is stamped out forever.
It’s also a sad truth that every racial group and religion can harbour racist thoughts, words and actions against other racist groups so Asian, Hispanics, Blacks, Christians, Muslims, Jews etc can be equally racist too.
We need to work hard to combat racism on many levels…and try to make the world an equal playing field for all peoples as far as education, job , housing, opportunities, etc. I think that giving everyone an equal start in life would be at least a start.
There is a very fine line between free speech and hate speech and I hope we can get it morally right when it comes to supporting one and condemning the other.
You are right, respect is where it starts. Being shocked at hate speech is one thing… determining to not make assumptions about anyone you meet is a small way you can start to combat hate, one person at a time, each starting with ourselves.

I agree, some of the things I have read is shocking. When I was a child I found it hard to comprehend how some individuals can dislike or disregard another person’s feelings for no reason besides the colour of their skin and I have witnessed this in action in all races. Personally if someone decides to cast insults to me or my race, it goes right over my head because I cannot change another person’s opinion or highlight their petty immaturity by entertaining anger within. I also recognize that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and some people are in oblivion or like to remain in denial concerning false judgement. I learned quite some time ago, when you respect yourself it does not matter if or when some people don’t.

Freedom of speech, yes, of course. Preaching hate, no, just no!
