My parents immigrated to the United States from Yugoslavia in the ’70’s so this is a very powerful video in my opinion. My parents said they can not believe that they are seeing communism and socialism in the United States My grandpa was put into jail every year when my mom was little for singing Christmas songs, every year mom said he wouldn’t shut up and sang the songs every year and was arrested every year. They weren’t allowed to be educated my mom went to fourth grade and then was made to work, my dad was allowed to go to eighth grade and then he was put to work. They believed men were allowed to get more education than women. They didn’t have food growing up my mom actually stole food to feed her brothers and sisters. My mom said that voting is so sacred because they were not allowed to in Yugoslavia. Those are only a handful of stories about my parents. Also my parents have experienced racism in America they get called stupid immigrants, etc… they have been turned down in a store one time because of their ethnicity but they are “white privilege” right?! Anyway this is a good watch. My parents said that it got bad in Croatia when all that happened in the ’90’s bloody and bad. We buried a lot of our family due to the war that happened back at home. This woman speaks truth.
