My word of advice to young love. While going through a bookcase today I came across this Bible that belongs to Lisa, a Bible that she had when we met. She was 18 years old when we were married, I was 21.

The Lord brought Lisa into my life at a time when I had no desire nor any intentions to be married. But one of the overwhelming factors that led me to conclude that this was a woman of quality who I would never want to let go of. That reality was a key factor that, while she was young, she had the most worn out Bible I had ever seen. After 42 years of marriage my wife continues to open up her Bible every day before her day begins. That’s the success to a fruitful marriage – seeking Him first. We love each other because we love each other second. Second to Jesus. Don’t fall for anyone who hasn’t first fallen for Jesus. Let their walk with God impress you more than anything else.
