Craving

singhpiyush6089's avatarThe Perceptions Square

Beyond the mountains of grief,
There’s an ocean of Ecstasy.
Beyond the rubbles of my failed endeavours,
My soul craves for that vibrant Felicity
!

Maybe there’s an ocean of blue,
With whom I can relate to!
Maybe in those depths of afflictions
I can find my divine benediction!

Let me struggle
In these swamps of disaster.
Let me find my way
Against these Howling gales
.

Till then wait for me
If you are already through.
Till then breath in the valley
And enjoy the view!

Empathy

singhpiyush6089's avatarThe Perceptions Square

The reason we exist is because of the balance of nature, because of the empathy of the universe and yet we humans lack it to a great extent. And that’s why there is so much of chaos nowadays.

Our violent yellow star can annihilate our planet if it really touches it physically but it chooses to stay away and show its kindness by giving life to us.

Similarly the planets, the moons, the stars and the galaxies all depend on each other for their survival. Empathy rules to a great extent, Infact life itself is a product of empathy, the balance.

I know many people will say its all about sciencebut mind you even science has a heart!

But we humans are deterring from our path. We hardly care about others, barely connect with them , hate has become a new normal . Compassion has become a rare commodity…

It wasn’t even lunch yet!

Holy fudge! The Entitled Kevin that came in today! He had a meltdown because I dared to make his meal cheaper! “That is not what I ordered!”

Ok. Time for malicious compliance time! So I went to second lane recalled his order, deleted his order. Repunched in the order. No meal.

Play stupid games? win stupid prizes!

I’m thinking about making a category about Entitled Karens 😂

SLEPT THE DAY AWAY

Becky's avatarA GIRL OUT OF THE ORDINARY

I spent most of my day snuggling with Daisy in day, sleeping. I got up at 2 to shop with my sister.

It really aggravates me she never carries her cell phone with her. Ever. She just leaves it in the car.

I hadn’t been feeling well and stayed by the entrance. Rather than look for her. Seated on the bench. Half asleep I hadn’t noticed my sister and niece had walked by.

The greeter warned me my sister walked by me. I got up thanked the greeter and hurried after my sister.

Who apparently was so in her little world that she didn’t hear me call her name. After the third time she suddenly whirled around.

“Oh my god! You are embarrassing me! Stop yelling my name!” She cried.

Startled, I glared at her. Now she is this type of person who constantly worries about what people thinks about…

Why do we Stay

Some people say if it was that bad why did you stay. People stay because they are afraid of being ostracized. We all want to belong and therefore we self deface ourselves by being in relationships that damages our psyche and our health. Feel free to agree or disagree with me. We attribute blame to other people for all that ails us. If you are a kid you have no control but when you are grown you can detach yourself from relationships that are stagnant or that are not a contributing factor to your common good. Family has nothing to do with blood, true family is a bond that stays together in good times as wells as trying times. If you can’t depend on those who say they are there for you, unloose the knot and let them go.

Giving up is never an option. You have to be tenacious, and assertive about the actionsyou take. Your journey is not linear, it is a progression towards elimination of the larger issue: demonization and systematic injustice.

Insanity

Belief in superiority and the right to dominate and rule is ludicrous and insane. We are all one whether we choose to accept it or not. No one wants to live in a war zone, not knowing when their door might be kicked in, and people with guns blazingput an end to their life. We don’t need to die gestapo stylewhile we are walking, riding, running, at home sleeping or relaxing. People deserve to live without thinking “Am I next.”

Peculiar Things That My Father Told Me

Wyclif M. Musau's avatarLittle Strings of Poetry

When i was a small boy, i used to hate every correction especially if it came from my father,
I had a strong belief that women should be respected more than men, but i was wrong!
Both parents are important, they’re the only people who will stand by you in your worst moments,
After anyone else has left, they will grab a seat near you, just to stay with you till daybreak,Summer is here, the trees are losing their leaves yet again,
There is an instant drop of lively plants on the riverbank,
We commence our journey to the farm, winding through the bushy table land,
Father used to let me sit on his neck from behind as we jostled through the woods,Like a young gorilla i would cling on his head to avoid toppling back,
He told me that, son, you see how dry the environs are, that…

Nzilu, The Mortal Bull Fighter!

Wyclif M. Musau's avatarLittle Strings of Poetry

When i was a teenager i used to play innocent when mama was home,
I was so harmless until my mouthy neighbour uncovered my true colours,
I used to follow Kasanga our able house boy as he drove the flock out for grazing,
We became friends as the days went by, so he would tell mum that I’m the best herdsman he’s ever met!

Mama didn’t realise that i used to blackmail Kasanga with four pieces of goat meat,
So, we left the homestead, headed towards Muooni river,
Nzilu was the name of our mighty bull, the only reason i tagged along,
Under his neck, rested a giant bowl-like bell that acted as a signal to strangers,
It was an alarm for any newcomer walking by to keep off, cos Nzilu was a mortal killer,

He had the physicality of the dark African buffalo,
When we arrived at the river…
