Have you ever been loved
Or yours is just but a wishful thinking.

How many fantasies have you lived,
In the thought of it being a reality.

How many true loves have you been to so far,
How many falling in love have you done so far,
Which of them really felt like it?

How many love stories can you narrate,
That began beautifully,
And ended tragically.

How many destinies did you think you could travel to,
Only to end you journey prematurely.

How many sweet dreams have you dreamt,
Only to wake up the following morning to shear emptiness.

How many scars on top of another scar do you think you can take,
How much of your heart again can you stake?

What if love isn’t your thing,
Why can’t you just throw caution to the wind,
And avoid being the victim of love-sting?

She’s the lady I’m in love but I’m reluctant to tell,

The reason is because I don’t know how it’ll end.

Am afraid it will send our good friendship to hell.

Yet she’s the reason I’ve had good dreams.

Coz dream is the only place I get to see her beautiful face clearly.

That’s true definition of woman of my dreams.

I admire her astuteness,

But more so her gentle character,

I’m smitten by her smiles,

She’s the one I’d walk miles,

Just to get her.

Only setback,

Is I don’t know if she sees me in the same way.

I’m afraid to cast my net without a surety of catching anything.

I want to be sure before I can shoot my shot.
