the blue… [day 1]

Marina Kanavaki

As mentioned in my July 1st post, this will be a ‘blue’ week. Blue, as in sea blue. I am taking a short break, by the sea, to charge up my batteries!

So for the next few days, I’ll be posting images from my …”blue” days!

in my sea dress

These were taken yesterday, 1st of my arrival at Theologos Bay [Fthiotis – Greece]

I can never get enough of rocks and sea!!!!!

A beautiful tree with strange looking flowers growing by the rocks!

…could very well be an entity from a Star Trek series! 😉

…and the end of a very long day!

Sunset at Theologos [Greece]

Wishing everyone a wonderful week! New Moon today!

the blue… [day 5]

Marina Kanavaki

Fifth day of my ‘blue’ week.

While charging up my batteries I absorb as much as I can from this beautiful place…

Turquoise and blue…

Rocks and the sea…

A sea puppy …wagging its rocky tail!

A salt pocket…

Sea weeds and pebbles.

I had company at the beach.

A seagull enjoying the sun and the sea.

I’ve got to admit, she got the best spot!

She even let me sit next to her…

The clouds up above…

On our way back with…

She’s the one who directed me to this beautiful tree bark.

A pale sunset. I love those soft grays…

After sunset…

Getting dark however the pink orange cloud perseveres.

Just after sunset, odd little puffy clouds gathered!

Wishing everyone a beautiful Saturday!

Ennio Morricone Podcast No 2 : ’60s, ’70s, Avant Garde & Jazz [reblog]

Oannes 2nd podcast / tribute to Ennio Morricone

The 2nd part of my Morricone tribute has a taste of jazz: “L’Harem”, “Il Successso”, and also contemporary & avant garde: two non-cinematic moments of Ennio, his composition “Rag In Frantumi” for piano [1986] and “Quazar” [1970], from the avant garde-improvisational group Gruppo Di Improvvisazione Nuova Consonanza, in which he participated as a trumpeter and flautist.

She was teat-ro and sometimes I really missed her; she reminded me of mom

who always told me how hard she tried and how good she felt; and how it is that she was

and also she was a unicorn people said; and it was so colorful to be that way

But then I got really despondent and realized that everything mom said she was

what I was waiting to grow into; and in her system only her could be like that: there

couldn’t be any more unicorns; all the images of unicorns, she said were her; all her

So while on herring; I realized I couldn’t like mom, anymore.

I didn’t like mom, that’s it; that’s not something other people could understand about me;

and so I grew

distant from others except for the herring,

My best friend said she really likes yellow tart drinks; and so that’s how…

Red and Blue cars.

That’s a way to create medicine; you know like that cited; movie.

I don’t much; feel about movies ah much.

What do you mean you don’t watch movies much.

No not really;

Well the thing is, watching movies goes in cycles for most folks; maybe not all folks.

Here take a sip of your … floor.

Ou you mean; slip of the floor. As in you almost slipped.

No, not really.
