To Humans

To Humans
          by Creatures of the Forest

Of course I am familiar
With the creatures that wander the forest…
For I was raised in the tops of trees
Towering to heights far greater
Than most of your concrete and steel…
Yet the creatures that wander
Your sidewalks and streets
Are far more cruel than any
That have ever wandered
The forest floor…
Of those amongst the woodland
To slay another
Is only in the name of necessity of food…
The survival of the species…
While those amongst the concrete
Slay others in the name of hate

There is no slaughter within our forest
For there is no animosity
Nor disrespect for another
Except for that by humans
In their greed for riches
Or trophies upon their shelves…
Yet those amongst you…
In your castles and cadillacs…
In your cavalries and camouflage
Slaughter those
Who…

In Dreams of Another

In Dreams

The following poem was chosen as a finalist in the
United Poets Laureate International (UPLI) Global Poetry Contest
“The Natica Angilly Award” for Dancing Poetry
I am very honored by their recognition…

In Dreams of Another

I’ve wandered in your lucid dreams
Of forest mist and silent streams
Monastic robes in hues of gold
Where secrets never stay untold

You’ve walked with me on foreign shores
Exposed my fate behind closed doors
We spoke with faces on the wall
Reciting rhymes in whispered drawls

You’ve wandered in my lucid dreams
Of vagabonds and sparrows wings
The dawn absorbed in Persian hues
Where artists find their lucent muse

I’ve flown with you above the brume
Shared passions thirst where laurel bloom
We penned the writing on the wall
And changed the fate of raven’s call

We are but one in lucid dreams
Our merging souls like…

Standing in Peace

Peace 1a

Standing in Peace

You walked with me
Through fields of barley
Deep into the Himalayans…
Watching, as those of unbelief
Crumbled that which we cherished
Before our eyes…

We paused in a brief moment
Of meditation in Nepal
As we both searched for the stillness…
While others of different thought
Threatened us with walls of stone…
We fell upon our knees
Pressing our palms tightly together
In prayer for peace…
Finding ourselves betrayed
By those amongst us…

We stood together in rice bogs
Of the Mekong Delta,
In effigy of those of misguidance…
Watching horrors that we alone
Could not prevent…
Finding only the souls of the innocent
Rising above our bended heads…

I remember when we stood
Alongside the boundaries of Auschwitz,
As tears filled the banks of the Sola,
From both sides of the fence…
Yet, we laid shackled beneath the surface
By the indifference of the world…

Ladies It’s Finally Time To Remove That Darn Bra… Permanently!

Jeanette's avatarSaint P. Blogging

Seventy five percent of women who tortured themselves by sleeping in their bras developed breast cancer!  One in seven who wear bras for more than twelve hours in a day tend to develop the same type of cancer.  Within one month of getting rid of their bras, women with cysts, breast pain, or tenderness found their symptoms disappeared.

Every day many women are dreaming about what they are going to do immediately when they get out of work.  Reach their hands up and under their shirts, and grab onto their evil… bra hooks! And rip their bras off! Setting their breasts free!  Unrestricted now and able move around, jiggle and wiggle freely.  Such an amazing feeling of freedom, but it kind of makes you wonder, if bras are so uncomfortable why do so many women torture themselves by wearing them so often?  Is this feeling of discomfort that results from wearing these restricting bras a…

Rocky Mountain High

Jeanette's avatarSaint P. Blogging

The Colorado rocky mountains called to me from back when I when I attended church camp after my seventh grade year in junior high school.  One of the songs we sang there was John Denver’s “Rocky Mountain High”.  Fell in love with the imagery it created for me.

When I worked for a company in the Chicago metro area of IL, they assigned me to fill in for a gentleman on maternity leave in CA.  To get there had to take a plane, obviously.  On the way back home to IL had to go through the  Denver International Airport.  While waiting to taxi out of the runway, got to see what Mr. Denver meant by the fire in the sky.

My husband and I went to visit a woman I had become friends with in college who had moved to Fort Collins, CO.  After exploring the area where she lived, we decided…
