And the other outcome of helicopter moms or parents who never let kids think for themselves is tha the parents are often living their lives through their children, and when the kids don’t measure up (see South korea!) we find an increased suicide rate when a child in a class of 400 ends up 5th in class, and they jump off a building because they are not #1.

I know these types from 48 years of teaching. The damage inflicted on today’s young people by their helicopter parents is all too evident in society. Heaven help us in the future! And these kids don’t even know they are narcissistic. What a shame and a waste!
