I can barely even write this

Twisted Five Senses

Make Me numb

Because life’s pain

I don’t want to feel

Make me deaf

Because the truth

I don’t want to hear

Make me blind

Because reality

I don’t want to see

Cut out my tongue

Because my own tears

I don’t want to taste

And plug my nose

Because my putrid decay

I don’t want to smell

So I am trying to try this blogging thing one more time. As I was reading some blogs someone was doing a 30 day writing challenge. I was intrigued so therefore I found a challenge to do…so here we go.

Day 1 Write some basic things about yourself

Well I am a single mom of 4, ages 17-4. Three girls and one boy. I served 11yrs in the Army. I have been overseas once and was involved with Hurricane Katrina. I have been married twice but now I am single. I am also a licensed cosmetologist.

Well that’s a little about me. Can’t wait to see what the next days have in store.

P.O.V. is a word that throws many new authors into panic. What is THAT? Prisoners of Vietnam? Pets of Vegans? Pals of Viagra? P.O.V. stands for Point of View. Traditionally, I’ve not included this lesson in my teachings on structure, but I am amending that since P.O.V. will affect structure.

The structure of a novel written in first person is very different than a novel using multiple third-person P.O.V. characters. Scenes will need a different kind of balancing, so choosing a P.O.V. should not be taken lightly. Yes, often choice of P.O.V. will come from author voice, but not always. Sometimes genre might influence our decisions as well.

Thus, today, we are going to whiz through Kristen’s P.O.V. Spark Notes.
