Dear Daddy,

I miss you a lot. Everyday, I always have the strong urge to text you about news and random stuff that are happening in my day but then I remember that you’re gone. Old habits die hard. Well, for some good news:

  1. My study got published in Acta Medica Philippina! I know I told you that there’s a big possibility that my thesis will get published, but I really didn’t expect it to happen so soon!
  2. Said thesis won an International Publication Award!
  3. I am now confident in injecting people. I could’ve injected you your weekly dose of erythropoietin.
  4. I defended my StraMa 1 paper with flying colors. One more StraMa to go. I am less than a year away from getting my MBA!
  5. I now know how to drive. I went to driving school over the summer, as you wished. I’m just waiting to have my non-professional…

Misogyny and Christianity

I never met a bad Christian……until I got on the internet. Lots of flawed, imperfect human beings doing their best to follow Christ, but never a “bad” one. I have had wonderful Christians show up with perfect timing and literally save my life. Such simple acts of kindness sometimes, but hugely transformative. People have often not only restored my faith in humanity, but restored my faith in faith, too. Many times I suspect people have no idea how they were being used, how perfect the timing was, how needed they were.

The internet, however can be a bit of a cesspool. You will find the best and the worst humanity has to offer.
