Re-thoughtWhen standing here

with you

I don’t know what to do

or who to be

A lost and broken

man

Holding out his

hands

I don’t know

where to turn

I was swept up by

you

Crushed and broken too

now I don’t know who I am…

Watching The Seconds Tick By

Broken Light: A Photography Collective's avatarBroken Light Collective

Photo taken by contributor Tracy, a 30-year-old woman who lives with her husband and 9-year-old daughter in Glasgow, UK. Tracy has struggled with anxiety and depression for several years. She worked as an office assistant but was signed off work due to mental health issues. She deteriorated even more after that, with time spent in hospital, going to see counsellors, and lots of medications, with various side effects. She decided that she didn’t want to live like that anymore and she wanted to make her daughter proud of her, so she pushed herself to go back to college where she chose to study photography. I talked and laughed with him for a bit then went back to listening to Bullet for My Valentine, Breaking Benjamin, Five Finger Death Punch and the like. I was perfectly happy despite my playlist. I made the peace sign below, that…

I often get asked to share pictures of us, especially of the kids on Facebook. Not only is it a common thing today to share everything but living abroad with friends and family overseas makes it even more tempting to do. I kind of understand that my friends that are close but not close enough to get a regular Skype call would love to see some pictures. Especially as everyone seems to share everything online nowadays. But I don’t. I don’t put pictures on Facebook.
