My husband and I met in 1996 on a blind date.  We were not the couple going on a blind date.  I accompanied my girlfriend and he accompanied his friend.  On a Valentine’s Day we met and dated, broke up and this December reconnected and married in January. My husband died and he was divorced.  So we were both available.  He carried my book and picture for 15 deployments in the Army and for 18 years.  When we reconnected in December the first thing he gave me was the picture and book and told me that he carried me everywhere.  Our hearts were returned to each other.  He told me the story of the Immortal Beloved.  I am his Immortal Beloved.  What a story.  The story of us.

The poem below is the one I wrote long ago and signed by me.  He carried this book with my picture inside for 18 years.  15 countries I have been in.

  1. This is so heart warming! So it is true, if its meant to be it will be.
“if you love something set it free, if it comes back its yours if it doesn’t it never was.” I wish you both many years of Good health and happiness! True Love never dies!
