My hometown of Honesdale, PA is coming under fire. A person made a complaint and wants this star and a cross in town removed. This star has been there since I have been a child ever since I could remember. Decades and decades of being displayed and now they received a complaint from a concerned citizen requesting that it be taken down because it’s offensive.

Is it just me or is suddenly EVERYTHING deemed “offensive” these days? I’m all for the separation of Church and State, but to banish any and all symbols from public view in any public space (not govt. affiliated) is stupid. The 1st Amendment provides protection for the free practice and expression of faith. ALL faiths. I would think people in Pennsylvania (the home of the Constitution) would respect that. But then…I’m a Bostonian.
