    Slight diversion
    In one of the legendary Peanuts cartoons. Peppermint Patty is made to wear shoes and not sandals to school and is crying. Another character (Franklin) looks out at us and says
    ‘All I know is that any rule which makes a little girl cry is a bad rule’
    A really wise lad Franklin and true child of his creator Charles Schultz
