We are complex, us folk.
We all have murky little corners in our minds, which are best kept securely locked up.
Folk breaking the law is one thing. The law is there for a purpose. True they might feel the law unjust and break it for that purpose, which is another issue.
Folk who break certain social norms are a different matter. If they feel ashamed of what they are doing, well they should stop it because that guilt indicates they won’t cope with being found out. If they break them because they feel they are entitled too as long as they are not harming or disrupting their community, well at the end of the day who are the rest of us to judge?
We are complex.

My parents used to tell me that if something is private then it’s bad but I don’t think that’s true at all. Privacy is necessary for authenticity and self reflection. Privacy is necessary to be able to stop worrying about what others think and worry about yourself. Example: I would hate if anyone I knew in real life found and read my blog or my journals and yet starting this blog and previously writing in journals has been very important to me

I agree and disagree at the same time. Because when you are in the process of breaking the law, then yes you shouldn’t be doing it. Or it may not necessarily be the law, but something else that is teetering on the edge of breaking the law. But the flip side is that we all have something we like, that society places shame on, so people tend to hide. Like a woman who has sex with multiple partners in her life. It only may be a few people, but it’s held over her head to the point she has to lie about her sexual history to keep from being judged.

That’s great input. I agree don’t break the law and at the same time agree that we are all in the closet about something or somethings in our lives. You have wonderful insight and it’s pleasant hearing your view on things and to be able to have a conversation back and forth is a blessing afforded to few.
