If you’ve been there, you won’t want to go back and are thankful. If you are there, hang onto these ‘You are not alone’; ‘Every day you live, every day you strive is a victory’. If you’ve not been there, think of the very worse thing you can imagine and afterwards never use the word ‘Depression’ lightly.

Our mental health should be as highly regarded and considered as the physical health!

There is so much stigma attached to mental health. This is perpetuated through language. The term depression is often used interchangeably with sadness and upset. You often hear people saying “I’m depressed today” Or “today was depressing”, although they are not clinically depressed. People also don’t realise that your mind is your centre of being. After all it is your mind that tells your heart to pump, or your lungs to breath. Healing from a physical illness is not possible without your mind. Thank you for this post as it raises awareness and opens to door for much needed discussions.
