It really is a beautiful thing that people who have been together for years are still attracted to each other, especially in a sexual way. That spark never really goes away if you truly love the person. That’s a reason why I really can’t stand the concept of cheating/adultery. Some people are so willing to forgive because they love their partner. But, I’ve always felt that if you ever cheat on your partner, you mustn’t be entirely devoted to them in a loving way, and they don’t respect themselves enough to leave. It takes a lot of mental emotion to have sex, so I can’t really understand how people are able to have sexual relations without any emotional ties to that person. Then again, that is just myself. In a natural aspect, we are meant to have sex with as many people as possible for the survival of the species. But, on the other hand again, you have creatures such as swans that literally mate with one partner for life, even if their other half dies, they never find another mate. So, I suppose both sides have valid points. Sorry for the long post; it’s amazing how one picture can make you think so many things!
