My son Daveon has been an incredible source of inspiration in my life. I constantly engage in conversations with him, and without fail, he always brings up Jesus. It’s amazing how dedicated he is to his faith! He is a true die-hard fan of K Love, constantly playing their music. I remember a particular instance when he shared some advice with me during a time when I didn’t want to hear it. I asked him curiously, “Why do you always make so much sense?” and he simply replied with a humble laugh, saying, “I don’t know.” Little did he know that his words would end up being the best advice I had ever received. It touched me deeply.
Reflecting on my own actions, I must admit that I am somewhat ashamed of some of the choices I have made. Daveon, being the compassionate and wise individual that he is, grounded me. He wanted to help me make amends for my actions, and I am thankful for his love and guidance. I cannot express enough how much I love my son. He truly is my sunshine, bringing brightness and joy into my life every day.
Daveon has a remarkable ability to impact the lives of others. Everyone who crosses paths with him experiences a transformative encounter. He fearlessly professes his love for Jesus to anyone and everyone who will listen. The interesting thing is, he doesn’t even realize that he is a living example of preaching through his actions and words. I believe his close relationship with his dad, who is a Pastor, plays a significant role in shaping his faith and providing him with constant guidance.
I am genuinely grateful for the presence of my son in my life. His unwavering dedication to his beliefs and his capacity to inspire others make him truly special.
This is my exciting idea for Daveon’s Christmas present this year! He and I attending the K Love event on December 2, 2023. It’s going to be a fantastic opportunity to experience an amazing celebration of Jesus and music.
