Ta da lists

Does anyone else live by to-do lists? I make one at work for the rest of the week on my days off. I call it my ta-da list. I’ve been feverishly working every single week and I am finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I have one large project, okay two large projects to do still. To replace the tub surround and to finish up my kitchen floor.

I will tackle tasks one at a time. That’s the power of a good ta-da list. It helps me stay organized and efficient without feeling overwhelmed.

Overall, making ta-da lists helps me be more productive and less stressed. It’s a simple yet effective tool that anyone can use to improve their life.

It may seem silly to some, but having a list gives me direction and purpose. It helps me focus on what needs to be done and gives me a sense of accomplishment when I can cross things off.

Plus, it helps me prioritize what’s important to me and make time for the things I love.

I encourage you to try it out for yourself. Make a ta-da list for this week, or even just for today. Start with the small things, like making your bed or doing a load of laundry. Then work your way up to the bigger things.

Remember, taking care of ourselves should always be a top priority, and start conquering those tasks one by one.

Facebook strikes again.

Facebook unpublished my husband’s church page for no reason whatsoever. He’s never had a violation or anything on there. This is the second Sunday now that his page remains unpublished. Hume United Methodist Church, Hume MO just poof gone at the will of Facebook.

It’s not just frustrating, it’s downright unfair. Facebook’s algorithm seems to be flawed and their customer service is non-existent. It’s unacceptable that a platform as large as Facebook would operate with such disregard for its users.

But unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident. Many businesses and individuals have faced similar unjustified punishments from Facebook. It’s time for Facebook to take responsibility and fix their platform.

In the meantime, let’s stick together and support those who have been affected by Facebook’s negligence. It’s important that we amplify our voices and shed light on the unacceptable actions of this social media giant. We can’t let them silence us.

Have you also experienced issues with Facebook’s policies? Share your thoughts and experiences in the comments below. Don’t forget to like and share this post to raise awareness about this pressing issue.

I personally have not used Fakebook in over a year or more. But for our small church, this page has helped so much. My husband appealed the decision but they have not republished his page as of today.

This is the latest I have read as of today and it is on MxM news that Facebook is censoring Title 42 migrant influx news.

Sad so very sad. This is not the America I grew up in. Where voices can’t be heard. Journalists can’t journal. Preachers can’t preach. But the loony toons of the world get a platform every which way they turn. The AI’s are being run by demoncrats. I am sure if you put a topic into the AI that the left disagrees with it probably will not cooperate with you.

Chickens again!

All 30 of our chickens were murdered and my husband surprised me with all new chickens last weekend. Not babies but full-grown laying chickens.

The loss of our previous flock was devastating, but my husband’s thoughtful gesture brought hope back to our homestead. We spent time getting to know our new chickens and learning about their individual personalities. It’s amazing how these tiny creatures have come to mean so much to us.

Now, we must take steps to ensure their safety and security. We’ve researched to build a stronger and more secure coop. It’s a small investment to ensure the well-being of our feathered friends and the sustainability of our egg production. It’s heartwarming to see the new chickens settling in and already providing us with fresh, delicious eggs. We know that taking care of them is not just a responsibility but also a privilege. These chickens are integral to our family and homestead. We will continue to do everything in our power to protect and cherish them.

I love canning and homesteading

This year I really want to work on power banks for energy for my home and I want to keep increasing my food supply via gardening and canning and prepping.

One of my biggest passions in life is homesteading and canning. There’s just something so satisfying about growing your own food and preserving it to enjoy throughout the year. Not to mention, it’s a great way to save money and reduce your environmental impact. You can wash and reuse your jars from canning.

Last year, I was really proud of the bounty I was able to harvest from my garden. I had everything from tomatoes to peppers and cucumbers. And when it came time to harvest, I spent countless hours canning and preserving my vegetables. I made salsa, tomato sauce, and even some soups. It was hard work, but it was so worth it.

This year, I’m excited to take things even further. I want to expand my garden and try growing some new things, like melons and sweet potatoes. But I also want to focus on sustainability and self-sufficiency. That’s where my interest in power banks comes in.

By building a power bank for my home, I can rely less on the grid and more on my own renewable energy sources. I plan to use solar panels to generate power, which I can then store in my power bank. This way, I can continue to power my home even if there’s a blackout or other power outage.

Last year I also started making tinctures for our medicine cabinet. I’ve spent countless hours of research and I’ve bought books about herbal medicine.

It’s been such a rewarding experience to learn about natural remedies and how to make them myself. I feel empowered to take care of my family’s health in a more holistic way. I’ve made a pokeroot tincture that has really healed me and my husband from some ailments this year. I’ve made a cayenne pepper tincture to use in case of an emergency with a possible heart attack and the tinctures have many uses not just one thing. I’ve made a wild lettuce tincture, chickweed tincture, nettle tincture, etc… When I look in my yard now I don’t see weeds I see things that can actually help my medicine cabinet out.

In addition to growing my own herbs and plants, I’ve also learned how to preserve them through drying and making extracts. It’s amazing to think that I can use what I’ve grown in my garden to make remedies that can help with colds, headaches, and even inflammation.

One of my favorite things about homesteading is being able to share my knowledge with others and inspire them to start their own homesteading journey. I love being able to teach my friends and family how to can their own fruits and vegetables and showing them the benefits of growing their own food. It’s truly rewarding to see the excitement and joy on their faces when they taste the delicious homemade food they’ve created.

Homesteading has taught me many important lessons in life, such as patience, hard work, and the importance of taking care of our planet. It has given me a sense of purpose and fulfillment, knowing that I am doing my part to live a more sustainable and self-sufficient lifestyle.

If you’re considering homesteading, I encourage you to take the leap and give it a try. It may seem daunting at first, but with some research and hard work, you can create a little piece of paradise right in your own backyard. Whether you’re growing your own food, canning and preserving, or simply connecting with nature, homesteading is an incredible journey that will enrich your life in countless ways.
