After four years of determination and grit my husband made it to the finish line. He’s officially graduated and I am so so so sooooooooooo proud of this man of mine. We have six kiddos and he fit his college in through our happiest and darkest times and even moving half way across the US at one point. The devil was working overtime on his last class to have him fail. Instead of failing he graduated and he’s on the dean’s list.
We are eternally grateful to Mountain View Church in Arizona for all the opportunities they afforded him volunteering. He was part of the youth ministry there with Porfy and part of the Point Man group. And helped with various other functions.
Since we have been here in Missouri we have been abundantly blessed by Pastor Eric England and his wife Debbie and Karen Irwin. These people right here opened a door for Michael that we never expected to be there. With open arms they had Michael come on board with Kids Klub on Wednesdays, then he was placed into helping with the Bible study once a week, then Eric brought him on board to preach every fifth Sunday. Michael helps in many more ways wherever he is needed and is so thankful to Eric for he has went out of his way to bring him on board with him and his church. A huge shout out and Amen to these people! They have become an important part of our lives. I couldn’t imagine life without them. They are such good people.
One last shout of to Don Rice at the Baptist church here in Hume. Currently our churches both come together and join each others Bible studies at each others churches. Don has asked Michael to fill in preaching for him at his church as well. Don and Ruth are so kind and words can’t express how much we enjoy their company. Don makes all kinds of fishing lures all handmade and knows his Bible inside and out. I enjoy listening to him talk. Sometimes we do talk for hours on end after our Bible studies are logged off from the online platforms.
One final word of thanks is that both the Methodist and Baptist church come together and fellowship on the fourth Sunday of every month. That was put together by Don, Eric and Michael and there can come no harm from people coming together to fellowship. Who doesn’t like food and good company? Hehe. A lot of good has come from God places everyone in each other’s paths. We are hoping to grow the fellowship to towns that are close by and have more preachers come speak at the event in the Hume Town Square.
MATTHEW 18:20 KJV “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.“
So yes Michael is bursting at the seams with joy for having finished his degree. Now he is free to start writing sermons. I love this man with all my soul. I am such a proud wife!
