Shades of my unconventional poems

I

write simple

I write straight

Poems have had to be difficult

Its the truth of past

Or one can say

Its a myth of present

Its the truth of past and present, i say

But i go with my own beat

I don’t write poems, you can say

But then

I don’t want to

I want to write and convey my thoughts

It can be far from pleasing the wave of another’s heart

Its not an article as i don’t have much to say

Its not a song as i don’t try to write in rhythm

But for me its my poem of life and love

Of the lessons that i learnt

Of opinions that i form and melt

Of my takes on then and there

Of my takes on now and here

A Faith Without Fruit is a Fatal Faith

THE PLAN

Do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. —JAMES 2:20–26

Hi friends,

Have you ever looked at your life in disappointment, heartbreak, deep loss, or just frustration at the unexpected turns and thought Wait a minute, God… I had hopes and dreams. I had plans. I tried so hard! I don’t get it! What went wrong? It’s not supposed to be this way!

I have. My life looks nothing like what I had anticipated. The hairpin corners and reverse directions have spun my head and cast me to my knees before God asking Him, What?! Why? And Why me? more than I wish to admit.
