Gary and I take turns in cooking 95% of the time..its fun and we have a giggle…we do spoil ourselves to a take away/delivery once every 2or3 mths… We also get to have a Sunday roast every 2nd Sunday with his parents …. I miss the old days when families.. Got together every Sunday… And once a month it was a Mahoosive family dinner at Grans..aunts, uncles, cousins…etc..ALL involved.. But…sadly..its now part of ‘history’..

Sadly, I don’t think many people sit around a dinner table on a regular basis anymore…let alone prepare and cook it. With all the ready meals, take away fast food restaurants and home food deliveries….parents seem to find this easier and quicker than a Good Old Fashion home cooked dinner……Pity really, they miss out on so much…..

I agree they do miss out on so much. No matter what I still try my hardest for us to have family dinners. Even if it’s later than I like. You’re spot on with the thoughts in your comment 🙂
