The actual film clip is very weird, because he’s talking to Hitler Youth ‘soldiers’ of about 12, and he’s smiling benignly and gently pinching their cheeks like he was a saintly old great-uncle.

Oh that is interesting I’ve never seen the film. My husband loves movies and I am always watching new movies and in turn from watching the movies it always gets my brain grinding. A saintly old great-uncle that is just a laugh riot.

Yes it’s weird to see. You should be able to find it on YouTube, (try ‘Hitler Reviewing Hitler Jugend’- I’ve never looked for it myself because it turns up on many a UK documentary when it comes to the part about Hitler’s downfall).
Speaking of which the movie ‘Downfall’ which is inspired by the experiences of one of Hitler’s secretaries and mostly focuses on the last days in Berlin in worth a watch.
